Sales & Customer Success Executive
Location: Remote, UK-based
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + commission (5% of project value on deals closed)
Reports to: Sales & Marketing Director
As our Sales and Customer Success Executive, your primary responsibility will be to grow Cloud9’s revenue and client base by identifying and closing new business opportunities. In parallel, you’ll manage the full customer lifecycle – ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and expansion of existing accounts through strategic relationship-building.
Cloud9 Security is a remote working company, with our team dispersed throughout the Midlands, London, Cornwall and Suffolk, so, you must be motivated to work from home.
Key responsibilities:

New business acquisition (primary focus)
- Identify, qualify, and nurture leads through HubSpot CRM and LinkedIn engagement
- Manage end-to-end sales process: outreach, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closing
- Draft and manage contracts, Master Services Agreements, and Statements of Work
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, sharing weekly progress via HubSpot reports
- Collaborate with our outsourced cold outreach agency and our in house marketing team to optimise campaign targeting and conversion
- Customer success & account growth
- Onboard new customers smoothly and support full lifecycle management
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Drive product/service adoption and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities
- Proactively resolve issues and act as a liaison between clients and delivery teams
- Join project and delivery meetings to uncover growth potential ("farming")
- CRM and data management (HubSpot)
- Maintain clean, up-to-date contact, company, deal, and list records
- Track sales performance and customer engagement using HubSpot tools
- Use data insights to support sales strategy and customer decision-making
- Sales enablement and strategy
- Define and implement a structured sales process in collaboration with your colleagues
- Contribute to sales strategy development
- Report regularly on progress towards OKRs and sales metrics
Tools and channels:
- CRM: HubSpot (Contacts, Companies, Deals, Lists, Meeting Scheduler)
- Engagement: LinkedIn, Reddit groups, email marketing, sales decks, blog content
- Collaboration Tools: Halo, Microsoft Teams & Sharepoint, shared sales documentation
- Reporting: HubSpot dashboards and campaign tracking reports
About you
- A proactive self-starter with a hunter mindset
- Passionate about sales and delivering value to customers
- Comfortable working remotely in a small, highly collaborative team
- Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and shape your own process
Skills & competencies:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- B2B technology sales experience, ideally in cloud or cybersecurity sectors
- Problem-solving mindset
- CRM experience (HubSpot preferred)
- Strong business development and closing capabilities
- Confidence to report to Board on sales performance
OKRs
- Customer satisfaction by liaising with delivery team to ensure customer expectation are being fulfilled
- Monitor and ensure customer contracts are being delivered against in full, from a budget, time and quality perspective
- Effectively manage contract renewals
- New business acquisition from existing clients (target to be determined)
- New business from new clients or partners (target to be determined)
- Develop new partner relationships
